Includes original Mesa 6 button footswitch to access all 3 channels, reverb, solo boost, and EQ
Head is 3 channel with reverb each channel has 2 modes, has effects loop and all speaker ohm options.
Half power to run on 50 watts which works really well ...Unlike the mark V lower power options you don't need to reset the levels on this one to get the volume to match accross the channels :)
I owned the Mark V for 2 years and much prefer this thing. The mark V has a few more modes but takes a lot more tweaking and still never quite sounds right. I actually much prefer the distortion on the Nomad 100 I think its probably 10% percent better sounding but also it sounds a lot less buzzy, spikey and squashy like a lot of people find the Mark V to be. I will admit the clean and crunch tones were maybe 5% better on the Mark V but the reverbs are the same and most would agree that a noticably better distortion is better then a barely noticably better clean. Plus the Mark V is only 90 watts versus the Nomad 100 watts. Not a great deal of difference when balls out distortion but more bass and more clean headroom will be prominent. Also as far as the aesthetics go the Nomad 100 actually has a Mesa badge as well. The Mark V only has a "Boogie" badge which is stupid as it never matched the cabs :(
I have also owned the DC series the F series the Express series the Lonestar, Roadster, Roadking and Dual Recto. The Nomad is my favourite for most things. I do prefer the Recto and Roadster for their bit more brutality and modern distortion tones however as an all round Mesa the Nomad 100 is on top as the best all round Mesa.
The Nomad 100 is ultra rare in the medium chasses with the 5 band EQ as well. I have only seen one other getting around. I searched for one for 5 years and now my baby must go.
